In 2008 the Greek American Chamber of Commerce is continuing its course of serving as a unifying force for Greek American business interests in the Regions in which it operates.  As such, we are continuing with networking events, interesting speakers and a successful newsletter.

 

      In addition the Chamber is embarking in a series of programs that will enhance our goals and increase our membership:

 

§         The Greek American Business Services Directory: Chamber members will be given the opportunity to participate in an online directory of business services.  This directory will be accessible from the home page of our website and will give the entire world the ability to find Greek American owned businesses in all kinds of fields.

§         Real Estate Discussion Group:  We have formed a Real Estate Committee within the Chamber.  Its purpose is to provide networking opportunities for the real estate professional who are members of our Chamber (brokers, developers, owners, managers, lenders etc.). Networking will take place in regional meetings, as well as in a Discussion Board that will be accessed through the Members Only section of the Website.  In the Discussion Board, members will be able to post questions and other members will be able to post replies. It will give all involved an opportunity to learn more.

§         Small Business development Committee:  The Chamber also formed this committee in order to assist small businesses who members of the Chamber in their day to day management issues. Nicholas Chingas has offered to chair the committee and intends to create interesting programs for our members and the business community at large.

§         Expanded US-Greece Trade Programs:  The Chamber is committed to provide additional programs on US-Greece trade issues.  Our 2007 Trade Mission to Greece was very successful, and we want to continue providing this service to the business communities of the regions that we serve.

We are excited to continue the work at the Chamber. I want to thank the officers, the Board, and, in particular, the Regional Presidents who have put a lot of work to make this organization a success.
